Yes, it's the selvage mummy. If you visit the blog regularly, feel free to groan. I know he's had more than his fair share of screen time, BUT this is my favourite thing I've made lately and my favourite selvage quilt ever, so it had to be my Bloggers Quilt Festival Entry -- especially since the festival coincides with Halloween.
The quilt is a large wall quilt, 46 inches square. It is my own idea, design and execution. It is free pieced (the mummy is pieced into the background). Making this had PLENTY of frustrating moments, but it was 100% worth it in the end.
The letters are made of selvages too.

I quilted it myself with an all-over angular stipple. It was my first attempt doing anything beyond straight line quilting and I was nervous attempting it, but I think it turned out well.
In this pic you can see the mini mummy wall hanging I made to go with the big mummy.

Thanks for stopping by! I am off to the International Festival of Authors in Toronto to read from The Town That Drowned. Should be fun !!! I'll see you in November.

This quilt is the best! It almost makes me want to save selvages for a quilt instead of using them to tie up my tomatoes. Well, almost.
