HNIC: Hexy Night in Canada

I made some more hexies.  These are supposed to be my summer travelling project for in the car, but they also seemed like a good little project to work on while watching the Stanley Cup finals.
-
I added quite a few to my pile last night even though I put them away about midway through the second period.
These are still for the I-Spy hexy quilt.  I am also adding some more abstract things to spy like shapes -- dots, squares, etc.
I like that little pirate monkey.
Here are a lot of them on my design wall.  That little fussy cut school bus scrap is going in a mug rug I'm making for an end-of-year gift for the bus driver.
-
There is sun here today!  Yay!  We are heading out to a waterfall this afternoon.  I hope the woods are dried out enough that it isn't too bad a walk for the kids. Happy Sunday!
-
And P.S. This is my 200th post!  I will have a small giveaway to celebrate tomorrow!

Riel, I love the school bus material and what a great idea to make it into a mug rug for the school bus driver. I've been trying to think of what to do for mine and now I think you've solved my dilemna. Thanks for posting this!

i love the bright colours of your hexies. i'm also working on a hexie quilt! i myself was working on a little knitting during the hockey game, but i have to admit i didn't get much knitting done to busy watching the game. GO CANUCKS.

I can't hand sew during the hockey playoffs - it's too suspenseful and too dangerous with a needle! I hate the Bruins so much (Habs fan here) - Go Canucks!

People don't think of the bus drivers often enough. Kudos to you gals!

Yay! Congrats on your 200th post. You're making some headway with all those hexies. They're great! I SO miss my sewing machine and making stuff. I've been spending far too much time with my red teacher pen lately and it's not very fulfilling :(

No Canucks or Bruins fans in my house. They are still in mourning over the Oilers' and Flyers' poor performance. Oh well, hockey will start again in 3.5 months or so haha.

Your hexies are so cute and so funny. It must be fun putting them together. I have lots of plain and floral ones myself....dull, dull, dull!
